Itinerary Details

Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day at leisure as you recover from your journey. Relax at the lodge, enjoy the gardens, or take a gentle walk around the property. Your safari briefing will be provided later in the evening to prepare you for the adventures ahead. Dinner and overnight at your mid-range lodge in Arusha.

Experience a full-day adventure at Tarangire National Park, where you’ll travel in a comfortable 4×4 Land Cruiser equipped with a unique pop-up roof for panoramic views. Keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife during your exploration, including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and more. Don’t be surprised if you come across a leopard resting in a tree if luck is on your side! The park is also home to impressive elephant herds, ranging from large families to solitary bull elephants. After a delicious lunch, continue your wildlife spotting journey with another game drive before heading back to Arusha, ensuring you make the most of every incredible animal encounter.

In the late afternoon, proceed to Karatu (approx. 1.5–2 hours) for check-in, dinner, and overnight at your lodge.

Accommodation Option: Budget, Mid-Range, and Luxury

Approx. drive: 45 min to gate | Crater tour: 6 hours (max allowed)
